The original plan was to visit some islands on the pacific side of Panama after Boquete. We found out that the place is hard to get to and that the guy who runs the only hotel there was unfriendly and so we change are plan to Peurto Veijo. PV is small beach town full of burnt out hippies from around the world and also has a lot of rasta guys {who want to sell you "smoke"} . On are first day there we rented bikes and rode down the coast to Manzanillo stoping at a few of the beaches.  We heard howler monkeys but never seen any. On the second day there I rented a surf board which kept me occupied for most of the day.  After a long struggle I was able to stand up a few times (rewarding but it won't bother me if i never surf again).

Crossing the boarder to Costa Rica was fairly easy on the Caribean side (have heard it's painful on the pacific side). Some kids basically escorted us through the process and even loaded are bags on the bus.  Banana's everywhere on both sides of the boarder.

colinsito says:
Hey I live here. I am not a burn't out hippy.
