So we arrived in Bangkok for a well deserved rest. The new airport is very impressive and not without a few teething troubles. Getting Koi out of cargo was a nightmare as noone knew where to send us, but eventually we found a lovely chap who sent 4 hrs getting the paperwork sorted. Tracy could sit with Koi but not let her out, so i visited...get this 10 different offices paying money getting signatures and generally wading round in red tape. As with everthing ...it came to an end and Koi was Free...Hurrah.
In Bangkok (my favourite city) we met up with Danny and Adam, drank beer till the wee hours and swaped long yarns about our adventures since we last met. This was just the tonic i needed after Katmandu......
As you know Koi is a Thai dog and sure enough she instantly became a celeb round the hotel, but what we didnt know was she was not welcome in shops!!! nor restaurantants!! or buses or boats, trains, parks and just about anywhere else........AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH, what to do?????
This shook us for a while but as with ever other problem weve met on this trip....theres always a solution, and that was to buy a dog crate and move her everywhere as cargo!!! Not ideal but at least we can use the trains and get around.
So we are now on the coast at Hua Hin sleeping over the sea..litterally....the suns shining and the food is out of this world. Xmas is going to be on Ko Tao, a small island where i will at last get my PADI diving licence.
Take care and have a great Christmas
