Long time no hear! Tim and I have reunited after the walk and retreat and are now in the Thamel district of Kathmandu,Nepal. The pollution has gotten to all three of us. The air has given Tim and myself a bad throat each, and Koi has reacted to the proposterous amount of sulphur in the tap water here. Yes, bottled water for all of us from now on. Koi suffered with diahorrea, loss of appetite and lethargy, but the kind vet about three miles away gave us medicine for her and she is improving.
We shall all fly together (Koi in the hold unfortunately) on Thai Airways to Bangkok,Thailand on Wednesday the 6th of December. After a night or two in Bangkok (complete with breathing mask from Kathmandu) we shall head off by train/bus/tuk-tuk to the south Thai town of Hua Hin (popular beach resort for Thais) for a night and meal from the night-market, before heading off the following day to the island of Ko-Tao (Thai Island) for a needed 'holiday' for Tim. He's especially purchased some heavy reading for the beach and a PADI diving course is in mind!
So, any news from where you are in the world we are much appreciative. The weather here is cold in the evenings, about 9C, and upto about 25C in the day time. Sunny in the day, clear skys at night, but too much pollution!
