Grosetto and surrounding
June 21, 2007
After a quite long ride from Moltacino in direction to Grosetto, we arrived at L' Andana Hotel. Definitely a nice place to stay (see below!).
After a short brake at the hotel, we started our tour to the beach near Grosetto, just 15 minutes ride away from L' Andana.
We walked along the sunny beach and at a nice bar within the city we took our aperitif. It is incredible how many people walking outside in the evening. If you are used to see the streets empty past 8 o' clock, then you're an Austrian (or German) ;-). The way of living in southernly countries is different than to Middle and Northern Europe. It's nice to see bustling streets arround midnight with friendly and happy people enjoying their leisure time at bars and discos. Great!
At arround 9 p.m. we took our dinner at the hotel restaurant of L' Andana. It is called "Tratoria Toscana" and offers rustic food which is good of course but not as good as they call it. Right next to our table, the American embassador in Italy and his family had dinner and his bodyguards where standing arround and watching all events arround him. Nothing spectacular ;-).
Arround midnight we returned to our hotel room (which is just a few steps away from the Trattoria) to be rested for the next day.

Nice any typical street for this...
As member of "The leading small hotels of the world" L' Andana is located in a marvelous landscape of the Tuscany. The building was built in the 16th century and was completely renovated a few years ago and looks like new today. The used materials have definitly a high standard. They offer "Deluxe rooms", "Junior Suites" and "Suites" which are all spacious and offer flatscreen TV sets, excellent air-conditioning and great beds.
Furthermore L' Andana offers ESPA, a nice pool, an outdoor whirlpool, a nice Italian restaurant "Trattoria Toscana" (2 michelin-stars) just a few foodsteps away. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Detailed information about L' Andana is availible on their website. I'm sure, it's a great experience for everybody visiting L' Andana.
