First Night in Vegas

Friday the 13th wasn’t so bad. We arrived at about 6 am at the airport. We had pre-
checked, so all we needed to do was get our bags checked. American Airlines now charges $2 per bag to be checked outside! What a crock. Inside you can wait in line and it will be free, but still, American is now on my list! The flight itself was pretty good, but don’t expect much by way of service. No snacks or anything. Also, we had problems with changing our flights with American. Our tickets were originally supposed to be for Monday, when we decided to go to
MGM was great, good rooms, easy stay. Would definitely stay there again. However, we played the Blackjack tables Friday night, and we didn’t have a very good outcome. Had better tables elsewhere. Would not gamble there again. Slots and video poker were not loose either. We ate at the Italian restaurant in the MGM that night, I think the name is Fiamma, and it was awesome! I had the calamari, the scallops (with mashed potatoes), and some sort of chocolate cake. It was all wonderful. Service was terrific too. Everyone had a wonderful meal, we shared, there is a dish with some sort of potato dumpling, was to die for. Andy had some dessert that was like a warn chocolate pudding with graham crackers and marshmallow cream (tasted just like a s’more), it was sooooo good.
