We woke up earlier than usual today (at a startling 10am infact!) and got dressed with the intent to see some museums today. We first went to the Holocaust museum... and it was closed until the 7th January. We then went to the Museo de Armas and it too was closed until 2nd January. We wasted over one hour getting to each of them, inbetween getting lost, looking at our map and subways so we were pretty annoyed. We both decided to head for the Botanical Gardens instead since they were close. They were nice, but not as nice as at home.

We jumped on a bus for La Boca, a very touristy area in Buenos Aires famed for its colourful buildings and then tango. Not too sure what came first here, but it was very bright and beautiful and defintely cheered us up a bit. To be honest though, when we first arrived in the district of La Boca we wondered why the hell we were there, the streets stink and theres rubbish and dodgey people everywhere. Not like the rest of Buenos Aires thats for sure. Although, once we hit the main street where all the tourists were that all changed. We chilled out, watched some couples tango (and some doing it very poorly, not that Im any expert but some just didnt have any rhythm).

We are thinking about leaving Buenos Aires tomorrow so we can head into Uruguay. Hoping to meet up with some friends we made while volunteering in Bolivia before we go though.
