Quito... we are a long way from Colombia!

We got up later today and did some more shopping at the Otavalo market before leaving for Quito at about 2pm today.

Nathan wasn´t feeling very well at all, and I´m suprised he made the trip (with an emergency toilet stop of course, to which the bus driver couldn´t stop laughing)!

We were delighted to see some very large malls on our way through, and everything here is so modern compared to anything we saw while in Colombia. For example, they have actual car sales yards like back at home, something we never saw in Colombia. Also, the amount of newer vehicles, and actual advertisements as opposed to painted advertising was rather interesting.

We got a taxi from the bus terminal to our hotel (yes, we are staying in a hotel this time, which is actually just as cheap as hostels here), and we haven´t left since! They also have a restuarant which is fantastic!

We are off to have a look around the city tomorrow, hopefully buy an MP3 player and try out a movie. Fingers crossed!

And just for the record, Nathan and I aren´t big rugby fans but with all the hype and talk while we have been travelling we got into it, and how guttered we were to find out that France bet us. And even if we can point the finger at the ref,.... seriously.... COME ON, what were you doing. The All Blacks need to step up their game. Really shamed on this one...
