Travelling overland from Colombia to Brazil in 4.5 months of mayhem!

Caving in San Gil

Went caving this morning with the 2 Brits and Aussie. Great fun, although scary. We had to get a harness on and got down a zip line into the cave. Heaps of bats, which I seriously think are pretty cute.

We came to a part where we had to climb down a ladder and then get on a small platform and then jump 6m down into deep water. That part really freaked me out.

Really enjoyed it, but alas no photos for today as we couldn´t take our camera in there for obvious reasons.

We are just kicking around the hostel today until about 7pm when we catch a night bus to Santa Marta which takes about 11hrs. Shaun says it´s safe, and means we aren´t wasting a whole day on travel which is nice. The Lost City trek here we come!

Australian run by a guy called Shaun. FANTASTIC. We had the best view in the house in our humble opinion and all for $24,000 pesos for our double room. Shaun has heaps of information on adventure activities and you can arrange them all through him. Great atmosphere and really enjoyed our time here.
