Travelling overland from Colombia to Brazil in 4.5 months of mayhem!

Beautiful and Bustling Banos!

Banos is surrounded by lush mountains and towering over it is the active volcano called Tungurahua (it spewed out ash in 2000, the town was evacuated for about 3 months) which is only 8km away!

The town is so alive, also owing to the fact it is the weekend here and many Ecuadorians flock here. Defintely a good vibe here anyway, makes for a noisy but pleasant stay nonetheless!

We ended up just walking around today, having a look at the markets and church. A nice lazy day with a wee sleep for a few hours, and of course playing some chess!

Called family to let them know we are still alive here and well (even though Mum thought I was one of my sisters and put me straight on call waiting)!
