Travelling overland from Colombia to Brazil in 4.5 months of mayhem!

Adobe Expensive Wee Town!

We arrived in San Pedro yesterday, it has been so hot here but I guess that is owing to the fat we are in the desert!

San Pedro de Atacama is a really nice wee adobe town, people are quite friendly (although we have run into the rudiest people ever here aswell) and all we really wish is that our hostal had a pool!

The town itself is quite nice, looks alot like some small town shown on American films from Mexico or something and the people look quite different to those in Bolivia, Ecuador etc. Its strange considering its not really that far away either.

We have to stay until Tuesday as we cant get a bus to Salta until then. Its also very expensive, it cost us 30,000 Chilianos to get to Salta which is only 12 hours away! What is even more weird is that the bus leaves at 10.30am, so you get there quite late!
