the little hut in northern spain Jul 03, 2008
the little hut in northern spain is a small hut owned by the grandal-caneiro family of cedeira spain. it is located in a hill, overlooking the beautiful bay of the atlantic ocean and the town of cedeira from afar.
one of my bestest friends in travbuddy, pablo (the idiot) invited me and my friends to stay in their hometown cedeira, spain. they offered their 4 storey house and the little hut which in spanish they call "chabola". the chabola, is situated outside the old town of cedeira, about 20 minutes walking from the house of the grandal-caneiro family, and below is a cemetery HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. the chabola has only the basics, no electricity, no running water, and no beds, but with water pumps, the space inside is a mere 30 square meters with a wood/charcoal kitchen that doubles as a fireplace in the cold nights AND A BIG HEAVY TABLE IN THE MIDDLE THAT CONSUMES HALF THE SPACE hahahaha. the chabola is basically the vegetable garden of the family. they plant self grown bio vegetables and fruits like citruses and grapes. it is also home to their two family dogs, bola and perla. the chabola has a big garden with variety of flowers! rhododendrons, yellowbells, gladiolas and more! around the area of the hut, are forests full of eucalyptus trees, paths that lead to secluded coves and beaches, ahd the most priceless is the view from it. it is virtually a small paradise on earth. Part of the the greatest story about being free. travel blog |
