English pub - Reykjavik Jul 04, 2011
If you want to see other tourist, listen to good live music, chat to your fellow travellers and drink all kind of different beer, both draft and bottle, The English pub is the pub for you. It´s as downtown as you could possible think of and during the summer it doesn't matter if it's Monday or a Friday night it's always fun over there

The English Pub Jan 01, 2010
The English Pub is a bar near the centre of Reykjavik. As I live in England, it is always interesting to go to English theme pubs to see what the world thinks of us. It seems to come down to pipe smoking and comedy mustaches, which I guess is not the worst of reputations.

The pub itself is nicely decorated and has many tables to sit at. There is a good range of draft beers, including Christmas beer (julbjor or something similar) which is sort of orange ish in colour and very nice. I don’t think you’d get it other times of year.

We went twice. On the first occasion there was a very good band who did random songs with no reference to what might be cool, including having a bit of a singing Prince songs in falsetto contest with their friends, a bit of earnest indie and some beat boxing. The other night someone was earnestly singing Oasis songs, for ages. But still nice.
