that depends, after all Travel Reviews

Hi There Brasilmagic,

if you would specify what type of accomodation you need, I could better help you.
Will you be coming by yourself, or with a bunch of people, how many nights, when, how, etc.
What is it that you most enjoy being surrounded with?
Modern architecture, old type city scapes, historical surroundings, etc.
Forget the modern stuff while here, we mostly have the historical kind.
Is your trip a brief encounter type or a more detailed exploration of the surroundings? I hope you will include Prague as well, a gorgeous city in the vicinity, in the Check Republic. And Vienna, an other gem.
Lemme know, I will answer - try to - all your questions.
cheers, all the best
Gabor

There's a botel (boat hotel) called Fortuna that is relatively cheap and close to the sites. It was clean, quiet and I was happy with it. It's on the Pest side. I like to use boat hotels in Europe because they're usually a decent rate and the river always runs through the heart of the city.

If you do go with the boat, there are 2 Fortuna hotels in Budapest. Make sure you tell the taxi driver it's the Botel on the river. Otherwise you'll end up on the wrong side of the city.

It was very expensive, ad i was a bit surprised at the end when we got the cheque. Next time i'll choose a cheaper place i think, maybe this hotel: http://...

angelwings010 says: I stayed at the Hilton in the Castle District of Budapest for 6 nights. Fortunately, I had a discounted rate because I was attending a conference at the hotel. I like the hotel's location. It's next to the Fisherman's Bastion, which has an incredible view of Budapest. The hotel is close to restau...
