i met matt in london and then in philippines! he wasnt that drunk in the phil... but he still was drunk. haha

have i vouched for you before?? im sure i have. haha but if not here goes. matts a cool guy!! had fun with him trekking and exploring all over philippines although we didnt get to talk much in london cause he was drinking.. hahah but hes a laid back guy that just goes with the flow... traveller at heart for sure.. and yeah he was born in 1982. hahah see you around matt.

i met naj in philippines then singapore! and thats how the story goes. =]

naj... hmmm.. the stories i can tell. hhah and only after spending a few days with her. =] naj you are a BLAST! funny and weird and indeterminate age and race... ur so weird!! wish is why i think i like you so much. lets travel to greece!

i met ruby when we went to bohol together with grzechu.

ruby is so sweet! and she can protect us from being ripped off and can haggle like no other.. she was fun and nice and looked like a superstar when wearing her scarf and glasses. hahah hiding from the paparatz? i would travel with ruby again anyday of the year. she also makes these perfectly timed jokes.. she doesnt make much but when shedoes.. they are zingers. love you ruby!!

i met joseph in KL when i was travelling through asia with grzechu.

no brainer why im vouching for joseph cause he takes my side on arguments! hahah but all kidding aside he was a great host in KL showing us around and the best place to take a picture in Petronas... then cooked us great food and even sang some karaoke. hahah great guy and amazing singer!! also hes tall so hes easy to spot among asians.

I met Aswin during a TB Meet Up in Jakarta when I stayed there for 2 days.

We all together spend some time having a coffee in a mall before we went to dinner and finally sang some karaoke.
Aswin just came back from a trip to Cambodia and so we could exchange some thoughts about that country.
But of course that wasnt the only subject we had interesting talks about.
I enjoyed alot to talk about our different cultures and im happy that I met great and relaxed people like Aswin.
Thanks Aswin for beeing part of the Meet Up and giving me a great time in Jakarta.

One year ago I met a TB from Jakarta in Hamburg. So when I came to Jakarta this time there was a TB Meet Up waiting for me. Luckily Rini was in Jakarta that time and so she was part of the Meet Up.

The whole Meet Up was such a great experience for me.
I had a long conversation with Rini. She likes to travel alot and we shared ideas and stories.
Hmh thinking about how to describe Rini.....well we had funny talk, serious talk, interesting talk ....all in one day. But overall I would say I have hardly met someone before who has so much positive energy. Isnt it exhausting to smile that much all the time Rini?
Im very happy that I had the chance to meet Rini and enjoy her company.
And by the way ....thanks Rini for helping me out when singing „Better together“ at Karaoke. It was definetely „better together“.

I met Eliz during a TB Meet Up in Jakarta when I stayed there for 2 days.

Actually Eliz was the one who kept asking me to pick a song at Karaoke as I was bit lazy to start singing. But finally I enjoyed alot. Thanks for that Eliz! And also thanks for beeing part of the Meet Up and for making my first day in Jakarta such a great experience.

The first time I met Fitri was one year ago in Hamburg when she was on her way to Wacken Open Air.
Now I was in Jakarta so I was happy to be able to visit her in her town this time.

Fitri picked me up around midnight in Jakarta airport when I arrived there from Borneo.
What should I say? It was just so relaxing to have someone waiting for me, beeing driven to the backpacker area and also she found me a nice hotel.
Next day she arranged a TB Meet Up and it was great to meet some more locals and to have lots of fun but also so many interesting talks.
We even went for Karaoke which i would probably never do at home. But in Jakarta with those great people I enjoyed so much.
Definetely those 2 days in Jakarta have been some of the best days I had during this holiday.
Thank you for that Fitri and also for the presents.
It was such a pleasure to see you again and I hope we can meet again sometime. Perhaps Wacken 2010 ??

I met Asri´s sister Fitri last year in Hamburg. Since then I was also in contact via mail with Asri.
So finally one year later I could manage to go to Jakarta and meet Asri in real.

Asri picked me up at the airport when I arrived and took great care of me during my time in Jakarta.
For me there was a TB Meet Up waiting on my first day and I was so happy to meet heaps of great people and talk about my experience in Asia with them.
Thanks Asri for arranging all this. I felt so comfortable during my time in Jakarta. And if I look back now I would say those 2 days have been some of the best days during my holiday.
I enjoyed the great talks we had (and still have) so much and Im happy to have such a good friend in Jakarta.
Of course it is nice to see beautiful nature and interesting temples but I think the feeling to have a good friend keeps me much more connected to indonesia.
