In a strange town filled with restaurant choices, this fresh-mex joint was a breath of fresh air. The food was fresh, affordable, healthy and very, very good. I was happy to see a full-bar and a great outdoor patio to enjoy the local scenery, along with one of the best margaritas I have ever had! …

If anyone asked me, anyone, Cuban, American, French, Etheopian; what my favorite Cuban restaurant was, I would without a doubt say La Carreta!
La Carreta is actually a small local chain, owned by the same family who owns Versailles. So, if La Carreta is owned by the same people, what's the diffe…

This is a place I have to visit every time I'm in California! There aren't any here in Idaho where I live now. It's common for me to get chicken with a side of corn-on-the-cob and take it to the beach, stick my toes in the sand and enjoy my 'picnic' of 'crazy chicken'!!! I don't have any pictures o…

I had read and heard wonderful things about Nook, and for once, I’m glad the compliments were warranted. As noted in the numerous reviews, Nook is located in a rather nondescript shopping center – the only sign indicating the locale of the restaurant being a large blue arrow. Once inside, you …

If you like curry, just a little bit, eating at a CoCo Ichibanya is a must! Of course, there's some other things to eat too, like salad, nan bread and... um... well... curry.
The curry is definitely the spolight of this chain. There are endless choices from eggplant, sausage, spinach, egg, pork/…

New Orleans Cajun style food, in a Lousiana bayou atmosphere. Gumbo, Jambalaya and an amazing Monte Cristo sandwich. Whatever your pick, the food is excellent.
Although you are indoors, the ambiance is set to feel like outside at night in the summer in Lousiana - though certainly not as hot & h…

This has become our Friday “go-to” place. Sort of an old “bar mleczy” it serves traditional Polish style food at a reasonable price. Pictured you see a filet z kurczaka po wiedeńsku (chicken filet) with some carrots and peas (and some tea). But of course other Polish dishes are available…

If you're ever in Rotterdam, don't forget to eat applepie at Dudok. It comes with lots of whipped cream. Dudok is a nice place to stop for lunch as well. But the pie is a must and it's big so you will have lots of energy to explore the rest of this nice city. Enjoy!
