A few years ago I had a hankering to go swim with dolphins. I didn’t want to go to some circus style experience and swim with captured dolphins, I wanted them wild, in their environment and on their terms. So I booked a trip through an eco-friendly tourism company, Discover the World – although …

Once again I've rated this dive as average cost....if you have your own gear then you can do this for the cost of filling your cylinder because it's a shore dive. However, due to the need to dive during the hour of slack tide, I would advise you to visit Andre at A to Z Diving in either Kaitaia or W…

Once again...average cost...you know the score!!!
Shore diving at Goat Island is UNMISSABLE if you are in Auckland (Leigh is 1 hour North) or if you decide to travel up the East coast of Northland towards the Bay of Islands/Cape Reinga. The 30 years that the Island and surrounding area have been…

The Chalets d'Anse Forbans are located in the South of the main island of Mahe away from from the "overpopulated" tourist hotspots in the north. The location is ideal for those who just want to get away from it all and unwind. Peaceful & quiet and truly heaven on earth. Located right on the beach - …

If you want to go to Apo Reef you are most likely to go to North Pandan Island and use the resort on the island as your take of point. It is a perfect location on an island with a private beach in front of the bungalows and rooms. There is very good snorkelling just of the beach and you can go divin…

Make a Day of it!!! That is my advice to all you avid, or even virgin snorkellers/divers when you visit the Caye :-)
Half a day won't get you as far out into the Reef, which means no Sharks, less tropical fish and not quite as good of a tan (if thats something you like to catch!)
Pay about 30 Doll…

***Somehow the name of the resort has been changed in my review and I don't know how to change it back. It's not called Ko Tao Montra Resort & Spa. First of all, it's called Laem Thian Resort. And secondly, it's most definitely NOT a spa.***
I've been to this resort on 3 different occasions and a…

This island is just half an hour with ferry from the city, and it costs about 10-15 USD roundtrip. Playa has some of the best beaches in the world. The sand is soft, the water is clear, and the sun is hot. Look for some of the more secluded beaches a little south of town. You should hop on and spend…

I booked a snorkelling trip with this company on advice of and through a booking agency in Haad Rin on Ko Pha Ngan. I regret doing this.
The trip is with a big boat with up to 75 people and can be done from Ko Samui and Ko Pha Ngan. The trip takes you to Ko Tao to do the actual snorkelling.
