Talking, and … well, more than talking. Granted they were whispering the whole time, but when there are six people in a fairly small room, even whispering can get annoying. However seeing they whispered all night, fairly consistently, I pretty much got used to it & fell asleep without a problem....

The Stay Okay Hostel is located right next to the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. It is within 5 minutes walk of both the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. Its very clean and safe and has decent breakfast. It is also fairly large for a hostel.
