What a crazy cool place. The atmosphere and vibe have always been extraordinary, and they make the best Caiprihinas outside of Brazil. However, when I visited a year ago, their food was eh and their service was ok. I am happy to report that they've delicious-ized their menu and have friendly, profes…

Grauman's Chinese Theatre (also known as Mann's Chinese Theatre from 1973-2001) is one of the most well known movie theaters in history. Opening in 1927 it has been the location for countless film premieres and even hosted the Academy Awards three times. However, it is probably best known for its …

Paru’s Restaurant
This is a true vegetarian gem. Established in 1979 on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, Paru’s has been a my favorite Indian restaurant since its existence came to my knowledge. The walls are decked with Indian paintings and pictures of Paru’s family, and the lighting is ambien…

Great place for tourists and locals alike to mingle and enjoy the breathtaking aerial view of Los Angeles. Its a perfect refuge especially in the afternoon when the sun is not piercing hot and exhausting but slightly gentle. Luckily, in California we are blessed with beautiful weather. This is also …

I really love this restaurant. I'm almost positive its family owned, boasting really authentic Italian food, its proximity to the Pantages makes it extremely full during dinner hours as people eat here before seeing shows. I really like its cozy, somewhat cramped quarters and the walls of items a la…

This is a GREAT trail right in the Hollywood Hills! Though parking is difficult (and on the streets- pay CLOSE attention to road parking signs)... it's well worth it!
Once you get into the park at the top of Fuller Avenue, you'll see a gate. Just before the gate is a little stand with cheap treat…

Good place to stay if you’re travelling on the cheap.
The location is good, two blocks from Hollywood Boulevard, which is as close as your going to get to a good location in LA.
Room was spacious, 2 double beds, TV, fridge and air con. It was nice and clean and serviced daily.
Breakfast…

This place is a little on the pricey side, and parking was $6. And our waitress was kind of deaf and insane. But otherwise it was a great experience!! The food was amazing, the selection is phenomenal, and the vibe is pretty cool.
It's nice to have a decent brunch place that isn't in Santa Monic…

I know someone already mentioned this place but it really is a lot of fun. It sounds odd at first, watching a movie at the cemetary...but don't worry you aren't sitting on any graves. It's a nice grassy area in the middle of the cemetary where the movie is projected on the side of a building. The…

I was so surprised that on a Thursday night in Hollywood, there were only 3 tables at this restaurant. Their food was unbelievable. However, the big price tag warrants some pretty darn good food.
I think we ordered 10 things, and every bite of every new dish just ejected an "Oh my god, this is s…

Located on Hollywood Boulevard east of Young Circle, Red Thai and Sushi can get lost among the various restaurants and bars along the strip. But once you do find it and taste the food, you'll realize it's a hidden gem.

I put this restaurant as 'expensive' only because I had a peek at their regular menu and it solidified all the previous thoughts I'd had about PH - over-priced.
However, in our situation it was quite cheap. We had a dinner/theatre package from londontown.com which got us tickets to Spamalot (Â…

This hostel has a bit of a druggy feel, and is a bit grotty and has an odd smell... it plays a lot of music late at night in the halls, and it seems like a constant party place... day and night! went to Universal Studios for the first time last weekend, and although I had a lot of fun I think this theme park is tremendously overrated. First of all.. there are only..like..2 or 3 real rides. All the rest of them are either shoes or walk-through haunted houses (which aren't even scary).
