't Goude Hooft

This is one of the most famous restaurants in Den Haag and it's easy to see why. It's an absolutely beautiful building, very enticing. The majority of the customers were sat outside enjoying lunch or a bevvie in the sunshine but I was keen to see the interior, being such a geek for old architecture. It certainly didn't disappoint with the fantastic, medieval atmosphere, stained glass windows, ornaments and the most fantastic mural on the far wall.

The food however was a little on the pricey side, but that is what you would expect, it's in an excellent location to catch all the tourists. The service was very friendly and the food was nicely presented. We both enjoyed a tuna baguette with a side salad. A lovely place to chill out and people watch. I would imagine it's a nice place for a swanky meal out in the evening :-)
