Most Memorable Travel Experience
The Sistine Chapel, this past summer. The whole Vatican city was amazing; staring at the art that I've seen photos of my whole life, the beauty of the architecture, learning the history. The view inside and from the top of St. Peter's Basilica, where you can see all of Rome, was all spectacular. I spent 13 hours there in total, but the best part was the Sistine Chapel. I sat there, staring at the walls and the ceiling for over 2 hours. Just fixed on each detail, I tried to cram the extent of the brilliance that created that room into my mind. The images jumped off the surfaces, three-dimensional and moving out toward everyone in the room. Never before have I seen something made by a single individual that left me so awestruck.

Since the last travel blog was so helpful for getting my thoughts out and getting feedback, I thought I might try chronicling some of my smaller scale adventures a bit closer to home.

For about a month this summer I will be travelling around to some amazing places in Great Britian, the Netherlands, Italy, and France. This will be my first real travelling expedition, and I'm so excited that I thought I'd share it with any of you who are interested. Ciao, friends!
