We arrive at Sibenik just in time for dinner at Hotel Ivan in Sibenik.  This is one of a cluster of Soviet style architecture hotels called (in aggregate) Hotel Solaris.  From the exterior, it’s not promising although the buffet dinner is okay.  We notice lots of people wandering around in matching blue shirts.  Since most of them are smoking (the lobby has clouds of smoke – something I haven’t seen in the US for decades) I’m puzzled about who these people ar...

DISCLAIMER: One of my favorite pasttimes is eating. I love food. I just love it! I don't think I'd live without it (duh). But, I'm no gastronome. I don't think I'm cultured enough, wealthy enough, and adventurous enough for that. My palate consist of only one taste: salty. As long as it's salty, I'd eat it. I missed my friends from Alliance Francaise. It's been an ice age and a half since I last saw them. Of course, we have each other's numbers and we all live not very far from one another, so one would think that it's not THAT difficult to get together.
