I won't go here again/236 21st St. – Miami South Beach Hotel May 15, 2008
When we checked in I asked my husband, "Can we check out and get our money back?" It was about 2am so I figured I could rough it a night. It was very large w/ a large flat screen. So I guess it is great for college pp. It was right on the strip, close to the beach and if you care to party. They sold drinks everywhere, you name it, they had it. You had to walk a good bit for a shop. Not for families w/ young children. BE AWARE..TOPLESS WOMEN AND BANANA HAMICKS IF YOU GET MY DRIFT ON THE BEACH.
There is a pic on Kayak.com. Would you belive it got 3 stars. I'm guessing only b/c it's location. |

So I headed back, out of the Keys, through the nasty storm, and drove all the way back to Miami, then to Miami Beach. I arrived into South Beach , and checked out a couple hostels, but both of them were booked. I guess there is no off-season in South Beach, even though summer is considered off-season in the state of Florida. I used the computer at one of them… Key Largo and South Beach |

After a somewhat difficult journey involving lots of local buses, we found ourselves in Miami South Beach. I hadn't realised that South Beach was actually an island connected to downtown Miami and regarded as quite separate. When we got to our hostel it was not ready yet so we had to wait for 2 hours in the 80+ heat… Miami Vice |

I could soak in the sun on my own personal balcony as well as enjoy the fabulous view of the beach and all the people walking around. Driving into Miami South Beach you drive past all the houses on the water with speed boats parked out back, wish I had one of those. It's really hot, sunshine and beaches, that's what I will get soon. We took the cab to our hotel which located in south beach, then walked out a bit to the main street- Lincoln road, shopping. I enjoy the see wind here a lot, it's very comfortable. Most… "Welcome to Miami"... :) |
