Most Memorable Travel Experience
I have plenty of memorable experiences.. but here are a few that spring to mind...
First Whitewater experience in Switzerland A bear came into our campsite in Jasper NP and the rangers unfortunately had to shoot it. We got to touch the bear while it was laid out on the back of the Ute. This would be the only time I reckon I would get this close to a bear!! Hiking Franz Joseph Glacier and Ice climbing Fox glacier in New Zealand *Skydiving over lake Taupo in New Zealand *Diving the Great Barrier Reef for the first time. Hiking across a lava field in Big Island Hawaii and poking the still hot lava with a stick! *Kayaking Katherine Gorge, NT in OZ *Wondering through the streets of Venice *Riding the Amalfi Coast on a motorbike! *Standing in front of the Majestic Pyramids Egypt *Elephant Trekking in the mountain town of Pai in Thailand. *My first camel ride on Broome's Cable Beach, OZ *Balloon ride over my very own home city of Melbourne Profile
I live in Melbourne Australia with my husband Vaughan (Davroy) who is also addicted to traveling !! but I'm originally from the UK and been in OZ since 1998. Did my first RTW trip 10 years ago and will be planning another one in 2009 with Vaughan. But in the meantime will keep plugging away in my cube farm to pay the mortgage, our little jaunts here and there and of course save for the BIG trip !!!!
