This extradionary hotel nestled right on a loch and some what off the beaten track of the road is a hidden treasure.
An immaculate white building with an interior to suit is a great change from sharing a room with ten or so other people when staying at a hostel.
A friend and i stayed here to treat ourselves and were highly suprised at what we discovered.
The room was massive complete with tea and coffee making facilites to a king size bed, ample room space and a bathroom to die for...

Having paid 79pounds for the first night it was quite a stretch from what we were used too but we felt we both deserved it.
Included in the price was breakfast. Not just toast and a cuppa but a full english breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, fresh juice, hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee.

The hotel also has an al-a-carte restaurant or a public bar located at the back of the property with good quality pub grub. It also offers some pokie machines a couple of pool tables and a great atmosphere if your wanting to interact with the locals.
The skeabost also offers two reception rooms and a full stocked library if your wanting to chill out. It also has 2 fully stocked bars as well as the public bar as ive already mention and also a small cafe style setting out near the conservatory where breakfast is served.

Entertainment wise the hotel is somewhat limited due to the hotel not receiving alot of good repection. The Tv's in the room don't have cable and some are quite crackly. They do however ofter a full size snooker table that was an old chaple dating back into the early 1700's.
And appartenately the hotel is haunted by 4 spirits. One of a lady who plays one of the pianos in the main reception room, to a white lady thats been seen on the stairs to a small boy and a older gentleman seen by many wearing a tweed suit with cane and hat...
The staff were absolutely accommodating and were happy to help us sourcing tours to do while on the Isle of skye..

I would definately recommomend this hotel should you be wanting a break and a treat from your usual run of the mill hostels...If you can afford the costs of staying at a fine hotel like this then just do it..If i ever travel to scotland again i would definately be staying here...
