Future Travels/Dream Destinations
Gloucester, England, UKdream destination
It turns out there is a footpath that goes all the way from the source of the Thames to the sea via - and this is the important part - a lot of pubs! 2 others want to go here
Istanbul, Turkeydream destination
I've got carried away reading about slow travel, and let myself get all excited about going to Istanbul on the train. The shortest time it would take would be three days, but it gies through some amazing cities on the way. In a year or two, maybe! 382 others want to go here

Countries I've Traveled To
Languages Spoken
I speak English, I can talk about the weather, food, travel arrangements, people's kids and tourist attractions in French and Spanish, and I can read a menu and almost shop in Dutch and German, although it takes a lot of embarrassed smiling too!
Interests
Books you might find in my backpack
Music you might find me listening to while waiting for my plane
Most Memorable Travel Experience
I think it's a tie between the rainbows on the semi-frozen niagara falls, the view of Mont Blanc from the Aguille Rouge in the incredibly hot sunshine, and watching lizards hunting on the US Virgin Isles. I've been pretty lucky!

I'm three quarters way through an MSc in Healthcare Management and leadership, and still sulking that they made me come home from the Netherlands after my three month placement there. When I am not studying or travelling, I drink a lot of coffee. Before that, I lived in Massachusetts for two years, working with disabled adults, Essex UK for two years working with excluded children, and spent four years before that in Edinburgh studying psychlogy. I love second hand bookshops and eating good food. And, unfortunately, most of my foreign trips end with me trying to work out how on earth to get the stuff I've bought home...

I have a lot of home towns, and several towns I would love to adopt. I also don't have a great attention span for just sitting indoors on the weekends. This Blog is about all the places I've been to since I got back from the Netherlands, the weekends with friends, and the nights out along the way.

As one of the few things I enjoy more than travelling is eating, and in reponse to the fact that various friends (and my mum, who has now learned how to find my Blog - hi Mum!) keep asking if I''m eating properly, I am starting a travelling food blog. This way, I can keep posting reviews in a couple of months when I go home and have to stay put for a while!
