Arnhem is not more dangerous than any other capital city in the World. Dec 11, 2008
This morning i noticed that my most important blogs are removed. Skimming, Passport . Very strange so i tell you again, this is information you can find in all kinds of newspapers in holland. I am not making this story up, or like to tell it. But it is for the safety of a traveller. you can find information by seeing the link from youtube.

Everyone tells me when i am in a foreign country that Holland is dangerous. That is very strange, because Holland is not more dangerous than any other city in the world. Of course there are robberies, and people will loose their wallet by pickpocketing. You always have to be carefull. And yes people get killed by fights, but those fights are mostly in the criminal scene. Normal people on normal places would not notice that. You don't get involved in these payments.
There is one thing you should be aware off! That is a new way of losing your money. It is called skimming. This week there where a lot of incidents by the ticketmachines on the railwaystations. They copy or film your code when you use the ticketmachine in public places.I would advice to enter a bank building, that's more safe. The best way is to put your hand over the numbers so they are not able to film your pincode! The last skimming incident was at the main railwaystation at the backside. So just be careful everywhere in the world. But don't be afraid! It really is not necessary! Just enjoy! And take care of your belongings! Thats all! Today they warned us again for this problem!! Today it happened again in Lent near Nijmegen (2 march 2009)
