Newly renovated hotel along McAuliffe Place which is in the heart of town.
-nice and clean great rooms
-big and modern comfortable bed
-large and new T&B

You can park on the side street (hotel front).
Usually, nobody was manning at the hotel desk ,
Use the call box by the door else go to the restaurant (beside the hotel).
You can use your credit upfront for payment.

A short walk around is enjoyable.Different restaurants aroudnd the centerville square, WWII sites and tourists info.

Breakfast is not free (french breakfast, not bad for an acceptable amount
to enjoye a variety of food which is enough to stay full until the next destinations of road trip.

I am glad and enjoyed the comfort on this hotel

The next vacation, I am going to Belgium. Back to the place I went last year, I had a great time with my girl and I wanted to go again. But this year were going with some friends. Becease it's just more fun going with some more people. You can go were ever you like, and if someone want's to stay behind than that's is not a problem. We are going with 4 boys and 2 girls, can be fun ;)! But one of the girls is my girlfriend so that's no fun for the others!

This vacation is going to be a chill and sportive vacation! I want to do things but dont won't to do it every day!

From mountainbiking to laying in the sun, everything is okay! If it is a relaxe vacation!

Starttimes where early again so we didn't pack all our things before the competition but decided to go back afterwards. Or at least we would go back by car and my father would leave earlier with the camper. My competition was the best out of three but still didn't go very well (a few weeks later I found out I had anaemia).

After the competition we did another geocache, this was a quite scary one inside an old watertower. We had to go all the way up, and a part of the stairs there wasn't any light. And then we had to go down inside the waterreservoir. After the cache we went to pack the tent and then went home. The way back went well except for a small traffic jam near Luik/Liege.

Today the starttimes where in the morning so we had to get up early. I had to run the longest distance of the three days and did a little worse than the day before :( Because of the early starttimes we had time to do some other things in the afternoon so we went to do a geocache. Since my nephew fell asleep in the car i stayed with him and let the others do the cache. I sat down in the shade and read a book and enjoyed the view over the lake :) (and took some photo's ;)) On our way to the next geocache my nephew woke up so now we could all go and search for the box in the forest. For dinner we went to Arlon we walked around to find a place to eat and after that we had some icecream :)

In the evening there was live music at the event center of the competitions (on the camping site). So we went there to enjoy the music, not the best music I ever heard but is was fun. I left before the music stopped to rest for the last competition, but I could still hear the music in my tent :)

Together with my mother, niece and nephew we left by car to Arlon in the morning of the 10th of may. My father had left earlier that morning with the camper, but since the kids are 2 and 4 years old and start asking after five minutes if we are there, we left later by car since that is faster. The trip there went well and we had more then enough time before the competition would start when we arrived in Arlon so we could enjoy the sun :) I forgot to bring my sunscreen to the competition and I would regret that later that day.

My competition didnt go very well, I had some trouble reading the map and I wasn't the only one. Since the competition didn't start until 13.00u, we left directly after the competition because we still had to find our campingplace. We drove to the sportcentre of Arlon where the campingplaces where for the orienteering competition. After a bit of searching we found our place. And I could put up my tent while my parents made diner and the kids where trying to help me :/ After diner I did some games with the kids and then it was time to rest for the competition the next day.

According to the signs, Durbuy should be the world's smallest city. Durbuy is a beautiful and small city, but to my knowledge it's not the smallest city in the world! The world's smallest city should be Bronkhorst near the river IJssel in the Dutch province of Gelderland. Bronkhorst, with it's 150 inhabitants, received it's municipal rights in 1482. However, Durbuy is a great place to spend some time, visiting all the shops in the narrow streets, lying down alongside the river Ourthe or viewing the castle.

Anyways as my profile says i am a poor college student but i eventually plan on doing a lot more trips when i get out of school and start making the big bucks. but i am managing to save up enough money to go on this trip next march which is put together with EF tours. The only thing i am worrying about is the stregnth of the american dollar to the euro. whish is pretty bad right now. its like 50 euro cent to the american dollar. hopefully when we get ourselves a new president we'll get our economy back up there. i hope. anyways thats all i really have to say right now. where working put the final touches on the itinerary now and we should have that done later this week. ttyl

It's a beautiful place with loads of nature. Good for all kinds of outdoors activities. Like mountainbiking, hiking, rafting, climbing ..

We had loads of fun doing this, but other than that it can get a little boring in Vielsalm. As you can see in the pictures we managed to keep from going crazy (or maybe, we went crazy but liked it?) by keeping ourselves busy.

So vielsalm can be great if you don't mind being a little bored in the evenings after an active day outside.
