I did it again. I bypassed immigration. I have done this in several countries and I really don't know how it happens. I didn't realize it until after spending 6 hours in the airport hanging out with Luis who met me there. When we went to check in for our flight to Guatemala, I was told I did not have the right papers. So, we had to go through the back areas of the airport to get it straightened out. Thank goodness Luis could translate for me or else I probably would have been crying in frustration after being sent back there 3 times in 2 hours because I was illegal and could not get on the plane. I think it was all because no one gave me paperwork in TJ. Eventually they let me on but not without having to give up a handful of batteries that they thought I might use to make an explosive on the plane.

Being it the middle of my hostsisters 3. and my 18. birthday and my mates birthday in two weeks we of course had to make a mexican birthday party!!;)

I always wanted a Pinata on my 18. birthday..lol! no really it was fantastic, the girls absolutly loved it having a Pinata just for them (usualy there are about 50 kids wanting to smash the Pinata) having plenty of time to collect all the sweets and blow out the candels on their cake;) and i wanted to show Norma how they celebrate bdays in Mexico=)!

So in the morning Norma and i went to Metepec to buy a Pinata, sweets and a cute cake with the girls names on!;) We had so much fun collecting all those things like Cinderella bags and ballons:P!

Then in the afternoon we told the girls that we had a surprise for them and they were first allowed to eat the cake and unpack the presents (since i had the presents for them in my lost suitcase we bought some necklesses for them in Taxco suiting with their princess dresses:P)! Jet they didnt know that there was a Pinata filled with sweets waiting for them;)!
After the mess of choclate cake we brought out the Pinata and their eyes light up!:D so sweet!

So we had them smashing the Pinata for i dont know how many times, singing the suiting song and taking care of each other that noone got hittn;)!
Sure we had to help them to break the girl looking like Dora:P! so we had a smash to and had so much fun...lol!

It was def the best birthday party ever!!!

This was a horror journey....really...it started quite well but endet in a huge mess!

We left Leissigen at 5.30 in the morning..train was on time and everything was great...after changing train in Bern we arrived in Zurich airport 2 hours later.
Check-in at the Belair/Air Berlin counter went very well and we headed directon Gate E56!
The 11,5h flight was very calm and we enjoyed it...but there was a lady sitting next to me...grrrrrrr!!!! When i first looked at here i thought..hmmm i know this person somehow...jaa sure i did it was a clinet of the travel agancy i'm working and this lady is about nearving everyone in our office...what a wonder she finally booked something...loool...she looked at me in confusion when she saw me...hahha! i cant stand her!

however we arrived in cancun an hour late which was shit cause we had to catch our connecting flight to Toluca at the other end of the airport...so now we only had 1 hour left to wait for our suitcases and check-in again at the interjet counter...buuut the suitcases had aaaages to come and i was so mad about it and sooo didint wanne miss this flight (wasnt up on sleeping at cancun airport and paying 2 new flight tkts!!!) so we ran of without out stuff and checked in at the other side...well arriving at the gate 8 we saw that the flight was an hour delay...suuuuuuuuuper thx!!!! so i gave everything to ran back trough security and everything to get our suitacases back...ja sure..they didint let me in anymore and some guy headed of to get them...but jeah..call it mexico and 5 mins become 30 mins....well after 30 mins i've had enough and ran back to the gate where they were just boarding the plane...
Arriving in Toluca we tryed to get Interjet to bring our stuff but of course they said: sorry not our problem...! thx!
Sooo the driver who came to pick us up at the airport just brought us to my hostfams home...good luck we are staying here and had all we needed for the first...since you're not allowed to bring any liquids we ofc didint have anything with us that could of been useful!
Luckily all our money and passports and cams and stuff we've had with us in the carry-on!

The next day we tryed everything to make them bringing us our staff back but nope...no help...so we went to wall-mart and other shops to get something to wear and stuff!
So now our suitaceses are in Cancun waiting for us at lost and found till we get them on sat!
Shame cause i brought so many presents for the girls and tonnes of chocolat for my hostmam...naja...good luck they will go to cancun just a day before we'll leave...so i can bring them then!

What a flight!!!

This was a day i will never forget!

For weeks we were waiting for the girls to make their first steps on their own...they were happily walking holding onto a hand but still not that sure about giving it a try on their own!

Isabelle was okey with only holding onto one finger and little Val only walked if you hold her hands...Lotti wasnt quite sure about walking jet and hung onto her walker (which she hated to share with the others and always parked around the corner so the others wouldnt spot it:P)!

...till that day...it was a lovely sunny day and we spent the afternoon in the garden...i played with Isabelle, cuddling and tickling her...she sat down on my lap and rested there for a moment...not knowing what she was planning i spoke to Corinne, suddenly Isabelle stood up and walked away...:O...we couldnt belive it...it such a hearttouching moment when you see this little person taking the first stepps on her own for the first time in her life!

Of course she fell after a few stepps and thought this was hilarious!;) it was so sweet watching her walking across the garden and see the other two joying her giggling!

Cause she was used to hold onto a finger she still held her arm up and looked like a little walking teapot!=) a drunken teapot actually:P! it was just too cute!

Little Val needed a few more days till she was brave enough to try the same;) as well as Isa she thought falling over was too much fun!=)

I didnt see Lotti doing her first stepps anymore but i got a good movie of it;)!

From those days one our life became pretty much more busy...they used to walk of and hide somewhere in the house, they loved to walk outside along the compound or like Isa...walking around the table 10 times:P!

I will never forget this moments and i will think back when i will have kids of my own!

After the first few days we got along pretty well already and stated settling down!

We had to organise some stuff like a car, food, stuff for the house, finding a docter fro the girls...etc.
But deaaaars that took all ages, i dont have a problem with relaxed ppl and if everything is going a bit slow but this was even for me a bit too much of good!

In switzerland i live in a Canton called Bern, and the rest of switzerland says that this is where everyone and everything is slow!
Since i wasnt born here and had my parents mentality form the Grisons i first had to get used to it...getting used to never walk fast cause it was simply inpossible in Interlaken with all the tourists, learning that everything takes its time, that ppl are selodon on time, that you should never talk to fast...and so on! I grew up with it and now i cant walk fast and i hate hectic towns like Zurich!

So everyone always told me to walk faster and stuff but the mexican mentality was even for me veeeery slow..i dunno how many times i heard: Mañana Mañana!..and Mañana still noone was there!
You were always at least an hour late when you went to visit someone or had a meeting!

What ever you did it just took absolutly ages! Like we had some curtains done for the girls room...that took weeks until they finally came to hang them up and for sure always then when the girls went to bed!!!

Jaa...so today when anyone want to tell me i was slow i say: gooood no i'm too fast for this world!

I arrived at the Airport 15 min later and wanted to pay the driver...suddely i realised that someone has stolen money of me and all i still had was 50 pesos! I gave him my last money and told him to ask my hostmom for the rest (which he kindly didnt in the end!:P).
I put my overloaded suitcase onto that little table and the lady opend it to do a silly security check up...jeah nice...i nearly couldnt close it anymore!
Well however i got my tkt and said goodbye to dear Cruz who helped me check-in...i even found security check where the next mess waited for me!...there was something on my rucksack that they wanted me to take out...well i had my hole bathstuff in there and started unpacking it(since i had noo idea what she meant cause my spanish is not that good)...the shaver? no...no?..hmmm...the thingy for the eyelashes?...no..hmm i really dont know what you waaant!!! then i took out my hairclip cause it was in the way and she pointed it out: this one!....my hairclip?????????????? how on earth could i kill someone with a hairclip? they shaver which was def way much better tu hurt someone they didnt want! i couldnt belive it!!!
They couldnt really tell me why i wasnt allowed to take it with me...so i finally gave it away(my nice hairclip i bought in greece!!!!!) at least they took something of an european rich girl, i thougt! mhhhm!thx!

Well i sat down in the waiting area and opend my handbag and became even more angry...the second one, exactly the same hairclip was in my handbag!!! i didnt understand the world anymore!...i looked up into the direction of security and saw a lady pasing the check with a hairclip like mine..!

jaja it became wors and wors...i had no plan from which gate my plane was leaving, there was no sign and nothing! The time passed and when it was time to leave my plane was still nowhere!
A few minutes later they said that the plan was late...all i understood was something about cancun and delay.

ehh jaaa...an hour later i finally sat in the plane and we left Toluca behind us flying over mexico city...it was so beautiful looking down onto all those lights!!!:D

1,5 hours later i arrived in Cancun..it was nearly midnight and my parents came to pick me up. Now we still had to drive down to Playa del Carmen which took us about 40min.

I was very tired and in a bad mood...so many things went wrong on this day and even if its nothing really woth to be angry, all this little things togheter made it difficult to stay cool!

I enjoyed being back there and finally able to show my parents where i spent such an important time of my live!

The girls got used to me again and also to my family...my mom was called Mika (Monika) and my brother Gugu (dont know what that has to do with Roman:P)...since my bro and my dad left agian after 2 days my dad didnt get a name:P!

My bro enjoyed doing some fitness and go to the gym with my hostdad...good highttraining on 3000m!
One day my family went to see Theorihacan..i stayed at home cause i've been there before.

Since we still had a rental car and the OWrental was more expensive then taking the car for the hole stay, my dad and bro drove back to Cancun after 2 days.
The driver of my hostfam brought them trough the city and they made the following 1200km in 1,5 days!! Mad!!
So 2 days later my mom took Interjet and flew back to Cancun..but before we made a girls day with shopping and visited Art des ainias in Toluca!

The reason why i went to Mxico again was to see my family, so i spent some more daysw with them!
My hostdads sister came a day before i left and it was nice to also see her agian since we spent alot of time together taking care of the girls.

A last dinner in that very nice restaurant just outside Los Encinos and it was already time to leave again=(!

I enjoyed the time with the girls..going to music and swim classes, meeting the oder women with their lil kids from playgroup and going to the playpark!
It seemed like i've never been away...there was so much to catch up and talk about...my new job(which is def. a total different thing) theit future plans and the new nanny!:P...i just loved being there again!

Well...what does Nelly Furtado sing..?...All good things come to an end...
I grabbed my things and drove to Toluca airport...

My favourite person in the whole world, Herlinda ortega Gonzales was ill and invited me to visit her at her home in toluca.

Toluca is the capital of the state of mexico andin recent years has grown quite a bit in terms of population size. it has also dweveloped in terms of the cosmopolitan nature of the city and it now posesees numerous residents from central america, other parts of mexico and indeed other part of the world too.

while there I was able to visit the Fine arts mseum which had a display on witchcraft, the cosmovitral, Metepec, the harts and crafts mecca of the state of mexico and the hnumerous shopping centers which abound. one of my favouite aspects of mexican culture is the tianguis, a prehispanic flea market where merchants gather on a weekly basis.
