If you happen to be in the neighbourhood, drop by this marvellous csárda of acquaintances of mine. It's situated at 6 miles from Debrecen, in the direction of Derecske and not to far from Vekeri tó (Lake Vekeri). It lies in a forest, which offers excellent opportunities to go horse back riding or just walking. After your healthy efforts you're able to lounge in the csárda and have dinner served.

This place burned down a couple years ago. Then they totalled renovated it and it still looks stunning. Unfortunately it smells totally new, but that'll do, and the food will make up for it what's lacking in authenticity.

There's a lot of things I'd recommend for as I'm a big fan of Hungarian cuisine, so here are some of my favourites:

(Make sure you bring a friend who speaks Hungarian (unless you can already speak Hungarian), because I'm not sure if they've already updated the menus yet, because if they haven't, then it'll be in Hungarian).

For starters:
-Házi vegyes ízelítő (different kinds of sausages, ham, veggies)

Main course:
-Francia hagymaleves cipóban (Onion soup served in a hollowed round bread (egy cipó)
-Brassói aprópecsenye (No idea how to translate it, just try it out!! Roast Brassó (Brasov - Transsylvania)style)
-Kemencében főtt magyaros töltöttkáposzta (Hungarian stuffed cabbage, this is really tasteful!)

Dessert
-Beatrix palacsinta (rumos, meggyes,diós forró csokoládéval)(No idea actually why the called a pancake after our Queen (Dutch), anyhow, pancake with rum, sour cherry and a walnut hot chocolate sauce)

Well, and I don't know about you, but my mouth starts to water. It's all very yummy. They'll be really keen on helping you find something you like.

CHECK THIS OUT! YOU WON'T REGRET IT! (I hope ;-)

Jó étvágyat és a viszontlátásra!
(Enjoy your meal and good bye) </p>
