Parnu is a little beach town 120km South of Tallinn. You can get here by bus from Tallinn for 110 EEK, which is very reasonable.

It's much quieter than Tallinn; bars and restaurants are closed by midnight and the town is deserted. There are three nightclubs if one is inclined to find them - Club Sugar, The Strand and the Mirage. The Mirage was empty on Sat night, while the Strand was quite busy. Club Sugar was busy for a short while on Friday night.

I guess it's all about the beach here - which has great facilities for everyone. It's good to spend a few days here chilling out, but you wouldn't want to be here too much longer than that - especially given that the weather is so changeable.

So, in search for a perfect cafe I found myself in Parnu. I think fate brought me to this exact one. How can you explain that among plenty of places with coffee and beer we decided to go into this one. Too much romance for a description of a coffeehouse? OK, then just simple facts.
The full name of this place is Picadilly Veinikohvik, what means Wine Café. Next to the bar stand you will see shelves with lots of wine bottles, from different parts of France, Italy, Spain. They also have a great choice of teas sold by weight.
The interior is great for a cosy cafe. Sofas with cushions, wooden tables and chairs, wooden shelves for wines and tea. And everything is decorated very competently.
But the most important part is that this place sells hand-made chocolate (chocolate bars, truffels, cookies as well). And their cheesecake was almost perfect. So, highly recommended to everyone who loves tea, coffee, chocolate, cakes or soft pillows.

People i met here who contributed to, and improved my trip: Olivia (Australia)

So i caught the bus over to Parnu, Estonia's seaside capital for a couple of days relaxing by the beach and clubbing. Unfortunately the weather was not conducive to lying on the beach so i went for a meal and a drink at the biggest pub in Estonia whilst i left my camera memory card to be burned to CD. After a walk along the beach, i headed back to town and was informed my card had been stolen or misplaced.... sorry for the inconvenience, heres another memory card as compensation!! Rather annoyed i went back to the hostel to get ready to go out. Unfortunately there was nobody there to go out with so i headed out on my own and just had a few quite drinks and a meal.

On the second day there, the weather was overcast again so i took a walk along the beach and just chilled out. Had a really fantastic Sweet and Sour chicken dish, which cheered me up like only chinese food can! At night i met an Aussie girl called Olivia and we went out to paint the town red.... it soon became apparent this would not happen as every bar had no more than 6 people in! Another early night and the decision to head back to Tallinn a day early as i knew it would not be a ghost town at least!
