<P>My stay in Rocky Mount at the local Elks was uneventful with not much to see or do here.&nbsp;I got stuck waiting for mail to be sent from Texas and made the mistake to have it sent to the Lodge instead of General Delivery. They did not pick up the mail for days and I just sat and waited.</P>
<P>Liquor laws in North Carolina are different. Here you bring in your bottle, put your name on it and only pay the bartender for the mixer you use. The highlight in Rocky Mount was a flood in 1999 which wiped out portions of the town and many homes. It seems that most of the guys at the lodge had lost a home or knew someone who had. </P>
