This little cafe is great to grab a snack or a coffee. They call themselves an "alternative vegetarian eatery", it has a good selection of vegetarian friendly foods, as well as a few dishes for meat eaters. Its interior has a very artistic feel with artwork from local artists, it is not your typical cafe. Although some items on their menu can be a little pricey, my personal favourite is the Peanut Butter and Fresh Banana Wrap in a whole wheat wrap. Sometimes you can even sit and hear musicians playing in the cafe. So if you're on the North Shore of Long Island, or even in the Bridgeport CT area (only a ferry ride away) and you want to go someplace different, Tiger Lily is the place for you.

The outside dining is perfect for a seafood meal over looking the L.I. ferry and the sound. It's a sort of "fast food place. The only service you receive is when you order and pick up your food. They are very quick at clearing a table for you to sit at and are very clean. Seafood at this price is VERY hard to find. I can fully stuff my family of five on a full variety of fresh seafood for $100. A great deal. The one area that is left out is Norm Vincent, the entertainment on the weekends. I will continue to travel from the City where I can get fresh seafood at any time and go to the Steam Room as long as its there.

Great place to hang out with friends and family. Tara's has been around for years. I grew up in the area and every chance that I am in the neighborhood; I always make time to go to Tara's. Best happy hour that we have ever been to. The Happy Hour is a pull tab game where your drink(s) will cost you from 10 cents, half price to full price each, depending on your pick on the pull tab. They still even offer the 99 cent Tara Burger with chips and it's a Great Burger. Lobster, Snow Crab, Steaks or Sandwiches, they offer most everything on their menu and they pile it on. The people are so nice and friendly. The bartenders are great. The food is fantastic and cheap. We especially love the happy hour. There is no place around that we know that offers such a great happy hour. I even sometimes see people that I haven't seen in such a long time since high school. I can't say enough. The food is awesome, the people...I could go on and on....Five stars for Tara's!!!!!
