Alrighty. It is officially packing time. I fly out on thursday at like 12:45 to spend the entire month of july in Bradenton Florida.
I'm bittersweet, definitely.
I need the money... but I have to split costs with my mother who has insisted upon coming.
and I will see family...
but at the same time, I lose all of my friends in New York...and my lovely soft puppy that I only get to see on breaks away from college.
ehhh. It's a truly bizarre feeling.
I go to florida every year, I always have.
But I'm not excited this time.
I'm not dreading it either, but it just isn't the same.

and to add to the drama, my hard drive failed.
so I've been frantically trying to save my photography and music...
which I will have no access to while in florida. fuss and bother.
Thank God my grandmother got internet.

ehh, it won't be that bad.. I hope...
but I'll keep ya posted.
The internet will be my sole lifeline to civilization!
Do you enjoy painting? Figurines? Custom made bowls and dishes? Maybe you just want to kick back and relax. Or maybe you want to throw a party or a bridal shower. Maybe you want a girls night out with your best friends, maybe a mother daughter day... maybe you just want to take the kids out, or take a sibling for a treat.
Head to color me mine to paint ceramics.

The atmosphere is creative and relaxed. Pick a piece, any piece to paint.
I chose a high heeled shoe because I collect figurines.
But the sky is the limit. Paint a piggy bank, a platter, a teapot, a teacup.. anything really.

The staff is very very helpful.
After painting your piece, leave it with the staff.
They will fire it in the kiln and you can stop by to pick it up in about a week.

Color Me Mine has locations all across the country. Find one near you!

For those of us who adore the francophone culture, Simply Crêpes is a magnificent retreat. Waiters and waitresses take your order in either french or english. The creperie offers amazing hot chocolate made with fresh milk from the Pittsford Dairy Farm around the corner. The ambience is beautiful with chandeliers and a stone fireplace. While the wait may be a bit long (don't try to go on mother's day) the food is incredible and one of a kind. Simply Crêpes offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert crêpes. I love the Chicken Terragon dinner crêpe, but of course I can't resist the chocolate mousse crêpe with fresh berries. The restaurant offers a unique perspective, as you feel like you are minutes away from Paris rather than along the Erie Canal. Check it out, I'm sure that you won't regret it!

There are two locations, one in Pittsford, and one in Downtown Rochester.
