As we got back to the house, we saw fog in the valleys after the storms receded.  As we were on the way to dinner, i begged to stop at a place where I could shoot a quick photo of the fog.  This photo is the result.

I'll admit, it feels like the end of my vacation, too, since she has to go back home.  It was such a fun week and it just didn't seem to last long enough.  I know I've got another couple weeks left, but it's been so much fun having her up here.  It's true that time flies when you're having fun.

After that adventurous couple days in the Thousand Islands, we jetted back to our home base.  It sure felt good to get a warm shower and a clean change of clothes.  It's short lived, though.  Tomorrow we're going to Taughannock Falls and then to Rochester to visit my Uncle Frank.

This is really just a journal entry to set a home point for the map so you can see how the travels progress on the map.  Maine, NY, is where my grandparents live and will serve as home base while we travel around New York.
