Today I made my way from a truck stop outside Bowie, Texas... just west of Fort Worth... not sure how far I traveled???

Yesterday: My first day on the road was a bit strange... left Austin during five o'clock traffic heading out to Round Rock... amazingly the expected traffic was non existant...driving the RV is a lot easier than I initially thought... key to the whole deal is to use the mirrors...

Last night: over-nighter in the truck stop parking area was interesting.. did not do much sleeping... had to put rolled up paper towel pieces in my ears to drown out the hum from the rigs... woke this morning to many friends in the diner where I ordered some eggs and sausage... when in truck stop, eat like truck stoppers...

New Mexico has been pleasant.. nothing too outrageous on the hills/mountains yet...temperature has been great with an occasional rain...nice relief for my RV who has been having an issue with the oil pressure... that will be taken care of before leaving for Arizona...
