The Worcester Art Museum is a pleasant surprise. It has a small, but incredibly diverse collection. The size of the museum facilitates study in comparative art history. Visitors have an easy time noticing relationships between works from different cultures and time periods (e.g. the similarities between Italian Renaissance and ancient Roman art, and the differences between the Italian and Dutch Renaissances).

The museum also sponsors cool cultural opportunities outside of its walls, such as a talk by Howard Zinn and an art tour in Puerto Rico.
