This is from the campground websight that says it all

Since 1987 we have been a family owned and operated campground. We are located in the capital city of Frankfort, Kentucky on the banks of the Elkhorn Creek. The park is open from April 1st thru October 31st each year. Limited camping sites are available during the winter months. There are 125 sites in the park of which 109 are paved. Sixty-one sites have full hookup, including cable TV. Extra long pull thru sites are available for big rigs and campers that are towing.

We are a family oriented campground with amenities to meet each family member's needs. Everyone can cool off at the pool, or perhaps enjoy a quick game of putt-putt. The campground also has horseshoes, volleyball, and basketball courts available for the young and old. Children can enjoy the large playground including swings, slides and other equipment located near the general store. Hand-dipped ice cream is always a treat after a day of fun in the sun. Dinner can be a quick "catch" from the Elkhorn Creek with a relaxing game of shuffleboard as the sun sets.

Sites can be rented on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. There are limited monthly sites available in the park. Call ahead for reservations for your next family get away.

general store is located in the campground. Groceries are available along with RV supplies. Children can choose a new float, swimmers or ear plugs. Hand-dipped ice cream is a hit with everyone. Propane gas can be purchased by the tank or the gallon. A laundry mat is located next to the store with both washers and dryers. Ice for coolers can be bought at the store also. You can use the on site pay phone or internet hook-up to keep in touch with your loved ones.

The pavillion seats up to 200 people and is ideal for camper groups and their get togethers. A huge fireplace keeps off the fall chill, and portable sides can be brought down to make the room as cozy as being at home. There is a small arcade located in the pavillion. A playground is located in front of the store with swings, slides and other equipment. The pool is a great spot to cool off on hot summer days.

Campers, young and old, can enjoy the basketball, volleyball, horseshoes and shuffleboard courts. Putt - putt golf is availabe for any member of the family. You can make a "quick catch" for dinner by fishing on the banks of the Elkhorn, provided you have a Kentucky fishing license.

The large full hook-up sites have electric, water, sewer and cable. Big rigs are welcomed, and pull thru sites are availabe for easy parking. Most of the sites are paved and have mature trees for shade. No camp site is complete without a fire ring. Firewood is available at the general store. A dump station for cleaning your gray and black tanks is located near the bath house

The location of the campground is perhaps its best amenity. When you enter the campground, you steal a little piece of the country. Evenings can be spent listening to the bull frogs croaking and the crickets chirping. You can travel 2 miles from the park and enjoy all the amenities of the city. Several shopping areas and many restaurants are a short distance from the campground.

Tourist attractions are numerous with only a short drive from the park. You can drive through horse farm country in Lexington, Versailles and Midway. Antiques can be located in Georgetown, Midway and Frankfort. A tour of the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Plant is a short drive from the park. Visiting the capital city is a great day trip. You can see how laws are made for Kentucky or how bourbon is produced. Genealogy can be studied at the State Library of Archives or at the Kentucky History Center.

This Campground is only 5 miles off I 64 in Frankfort, Ky a good overnight stop!!
