Moving from Miami to Iowa City was a bit of a culture shock, but I frankly could never imagine moving back. The bars here are fantastic, inexpensive (Tuesday are $1 drinks, Thursday are $2 drinks at Summit and Jakes). If you find out about a special, the bar will probably be packed even on a Tuesday night during finals week. Football games are great, and IC is THE place to tailgate in the Midwest. Other than waking up at 6am (our team enjoys playing at 11am local time?), its a fun atmosphere. I hear they are closing Olive Court, but frankly I never went there, since a friend of mine's parents had food and beer for us.

Tuesday's at the Airliner are great nights to be in town. The pizza is half-off and for $5 you get a pint of Coors Light in an 'Airliner' mug... which you get to keep. After the first, refills are only $1. nothing short of great.
