My husband and I decided this was not the most eventful or fun trip we have taken (as you can tell by previous entries)! I would certainly go back to Virginia Beach and stay at the Holiday Trav-L Park Campground again. There were a lot of things we were unable to do since we had nap times and kids to contend with during this trip. On the plus side, this trip was without baby bottles which made things more simple. We also realized that each trip we take with the kids will only get easier at least until the girls are teenagers and we have to start worrying about boys!

I love a nice camping trip but I won't lie, I am so ready for my day at the spa next week!!!!!

Everybody was loaded in the car and we were on our way to Niagra Falls. Five minutes into the drive we forgot something and had to turn the truck and camper around and head back home. Got it...now we are ready to go. The goal is to drive as far as we can and stay in a hotel (who wants to put up a camper at midnight?). Around 7pm I get a migraine and I let my husband take over driving. We hit Columbus, Ohio and I tell my husband my migraine has become unbearable and it is time to get a hotel. We stop at a hotel and my husband realize that he has lost his wallet....the last place he remembers having it was at a gas station in Independence, Kentucky (2 or 3 hours away). We call the credit card company to see if anybody has used the credit card and to get the phone number of the gas station where we last used the card. After calling the gas station, we realize somebody has taken the wallet because they cannot find it (they probably found it after we told them where to look). We then cancelled the credit card. While my husband is on the phone with the credit card company I go inside the hotel to book a room only to find out that they are full and learn that most hotels would also be full because of a golf tournament. So we get back in the car and wonder if we should just head back home but we continue on and decide things can only get better (never think that!). Between Columbus and Cleveland we stopped at probably 10-15 hotels and every single one was full!!! There were weddings at one, AARP convention at another, car race fans in another town and my favorite has to be the Twins convention. We pulled into one hotel and there were over 20 sets of twins in a parking lot....I thought I was seeing double because of my migraine until my husband confirmed there really were that many sets of twins. So we continue past Cleveland and finally at 3:00 a.m. with 3 kids crying off and on, me suffering from a horrible migraine and my husband in a horrible mood because he lost his wallet we found a hotel. The hotel only had 1 room with a queen size bed and they did not have any cribs available for 6 month old baby (we didn't need a crib for the camper because we have a bed for her in there). So my husband and I had to share a bed with a 2 year old and a 4 year old...which by the way, the 4 year old tosses and turns and kicks, and the baby had to sleep in her car seat. I am laughing now only because almost 2 months have passed since this happened.
