I can see the Great Wall of China ... One of the Great Wonders!!! ... My driver wasn't driving fast enough, though as I was getting closer I was becoming depressed at the thought that our guide would only let us visit the Great Wall of China for only 2 hours ... just think it takes a life-time for many people to make it here and now as I approach the Wall, I realize this is one WONDER I will have to re-visit without a guide ... if you can just pay for a shuttle to and from the Great Wall and then continue making your remaining plans with a tour group if you're unfamiliar with Asia ...

I approached the Wall and they warn you if you have a Heart Problem or High Blood Pressure not to climb the Wall ... Many people over 60 were climbing the wall with no problems ... I must say the steps are steep and you really half to raise your legs to climb each step, the steps are wide. My friend said to me "there's no need to continue, you have to make a choice when to stop" ... well I could stop at the first temple I had reached ... Coming all the way from Canada to go up only a few steps ... NOT!!!

I noticed some tourists would only go up to the temple/souvenir shop now ... but I had to go as far as I could walking up for hr and a half and leaving a half hr to get back down (figure that one out) ... but gravity does/did help me return to our tour guide who was anxiously awaiting for us. I bought a souvenir stating I climbed the Great Wall of China and they curved my name in it also ... and I bought a key chain with my name in that also

We quickly returned and besides the driver and I my friend and our tour guide fell asleep ... he was fallin over then places his head up-right, then it fell again, and again ... building passed by but he wasn't awake to tell me each landmark ... the trip back to Beijing was just over 50kms ... Again, from my point of view, go to the Great Wal on your own then a time constraint won't restrict you and besides you may only go there once in your life time!!
