We rented a car in Montreal for 11 days and our first stop was Tadoussac, a tiny beautiful village on the St Lawrence river which is famous for the whale watching. We stayed there three days and slept in a b&b (very cute and cheap), but the weather was awful: cold, rainy and windy. Everybody comes to Tadoussac for the whale watching and "did you see the whales? how many?" is the main topic of the conversations. The village is made of wooden cottages, and there are many paths in the outstanding nature just around the village. We of course went on the cruise for the whale watching, but because of the bad weather we could see only one whale coming up from the sea.
