This weekend supposed to be sunny. So I got to a trip with Drew, and his old friends, Peter and JC for a shooting and picnic.
First time ever (again) for myself touching a gun. Short gun and Rifle.
I wish I can put a video here, it was funny when I shot a short gun. I was kicked away by the gun, and also closed my eyes.

Ahh,, so it is a closing eye shooting! Basically when I pull a trigger, I close my eyes.

We did a skid?? Not sure how to spell it but it is a flying target.

You won't believe that I successfully hit a flying target 1 out of 5 bullets for both rounds. So 20% chance, not bad , eh?

Ok, we came back home without any animal. Peter is a BC registered Hunter and he is registered to hunt deer, bear, cougar something like that.

But with these 3 people who has no license, we just practiced for fun!

Nice day,,

Vrijdag 16 juni

Heerlijk.

So, "we're off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard of oz" just kidding. The long drive through Vancouver just to make it to highway 99 which would take us to Whistler was looooooooooooong, and stoplighty. It's weird how in order to get to that highway that is the route. I'm sure there will be an alternate route come 2010 when the Winter Olympics will be held in Vancouver. Oh yeah we're going.. you gotta believe that. On the "Sea to Sky" Highway (99) the road through Squamish that would take us to the beautiful town of Whistler was very winding and curvy, twisty and turny, which of course took it's toll on my tum tum. So i took multiple naps to try and not make them pull over.

Next thing I know, I'm awake, it's dark and it's snowing, and it is snowing hard. NICE!!! But not so nice since we had to make another 2 hour drive back to Vancouver later that night to pick up the snowboarder we left behind and another boarder who was arriving from LA. Oh the worry we all had. We were all excited to see all of the snowfall, and what the next couple days for our trip would be like with all this snow but we couldn't stop re-visiting the fact that the plan was to return and pick up more people. We looked to the left, we looked to the right and the snow was piled up, it was taller than our SUV (an Expedition mind you, that is very tall), later our friend told us that when he rode up on his own he thought he was going through a tunnel. But there are no tunnels on the way to Whistler. Wow right? =)

We have arrived, Hello Whistler, where have you been all my life? Muah!!

After snowboarding a couple more days at Whistler we started our trek back to sunny Califonia. We met a lot of cool people at that hostel it was quite fun.

Towoards the beginning of our drive at the Canadian/US border there was a bit of some drama. Over the course of the entire trip my brother had been documenting the trip via a camcorder, Well the US border patrol did like that so they made us take EVERYTHING out of my truck and accused us of possibly being terrorist conspirators. It was ridiculous. They finally let us go after a couple hours.

They had said "We had to delete all footage of the border. We said fine, but when we got to our truck we check and all they had done is added to the end looking into the lens saying "did we delete it" wow I'll try and find that video, it's a classic.

We decided to take a day off and hang out around the town of Squamish, BC It's the bald eagle capital of the world. We kept ourselves busy by going 5 pin bowling, which is really weird when you're so used to 10 pin bowling, before this we had no clue there were different versions. In the former of the two there are five pins to knock over, but you get three rolls with considerably smaller ball, about the size of a US softball.

After we mastered the art of five pin bowling we took a little hike to a frozen water fall. It was my first time to a frozen waterfall, it's quite a sight.

Later that night I went out with some other guys from the hostel to a local bar. My brother couldn't go as he was a nearly eight-teen and the legal drinking age is nine-teen in British Columbia. So we went out to a local pub, it was a working man ban sawdust of the floor kinda log cabin atmosphere. Everything was going just like I thought it would until about 10:00pm That's when about 15 lumberjacks, just like in the picutre walk in. I thought it a little strange that they would all show up together but didn't think much about it.

Well about five minutes later a team of guys brought out a brass pole, a dj stand, and velvet rope, and a stipper- Blue Sky. I was super surprised. She proceded to strip go to the back re-dress strip and so on about five times. That's right a single stripper. One of the strangest things I've ever seen.
