The best ice cream gelateria in Tulln. Really tasty ice cream using fresh ingredients which you can tell. Doesn't taste artificial like others. It also serves as a cafe but is known for it's ice cream. It's tucked away in a passageway - a local's secret :-)

Tulln is known as 'Blumenstadt'  which means city of flowers and it's not hard to see why :-) Come spring time there are flowers everywhere.  It is also known for it's many parks and green areas. Tulln is situated in Lower Austria and is about 30 - 40 mins away from Vienna.
Tulln is one of the oldest towns in Austria and  gained importance as the Roman fort of Comagena (Comagenis).
It is also a haven for the many cyclists who pass through along their route by the Donau.  There are many exhibitions that are held in the Tulln Messe and one of  the most well known and internationally visited one is the 'Blumen Messe' which is like the Austrian version of the 'Chelsea Flower Show'.
Now with a newly built shopping mall in the town square, more visitors will come to know of the charms of Tulln.  There are a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars in the town square.

The pizzas here are really delicious and very cheap. Just choose what toppings you like and they make it fresh for you :-) Herr and Frau Kiss who we have to come to know well are really friendly and nice people. It has a very rustic and charming atmosphere. So if you feel like a pizza, this is the place to go to :-)

Today we made our way home to Tulln and stopped in Gmunden (where we had got married on the 20th May).  It was nice to rekindle the memories of our wedding day :-) We stopped at the Cafe where our Wedding cake was made and talked to the owner about our trip.  She's ever so nice ( still remembers us to this day when we have dropped by for a cake and coffee :-) ) .  We had our evening meal in the Gasthaus where our guests stayed which was very nice. 
Later in the evening we arrived back home full of happy memories and looking forward to more memories together :-)
