I didn't ride a tornado or follow a yellow brick road, but I have found myself in the land of Oz.

I had intended to go from Singapore to Indonesia, but it was turning into a scheduling hassle (as I waited till the last minute) - so on a whim, I made a last second change of plans & booked a flight to Western Australia (Perth) instead. Sure Bali would have been nice, but I've already seen many beaches & I've always wanted to explore Australia. So because I took the earlier flight, I am now able to see & do more here - so I think it was a solid decision.

Today we took a trip down to Hilary Docks which is just outside Scarborough, probably the most commercialised place I have been, but really lovely shops and Cafe's overlooking the docks, surrounded by gorgeous beaches, then we took a trip to Scarborough Beach for the afternoon, this is a famous surfing beach, the waves were great, but we had forgotten the boogie boards which was a shame, but still fun, we had Lucy with us, not so good for her, the waves were too big for her to go in, so Kirst and I just took turns, great weather and great surroundings, just aswell we made the most of it, the weather turned the next day, it turned cloudy, chilly and we even had rain!
