1 day left.  Still tons of stuff to do.  Ipod is loaded and ready, hopefully lappy wifi will work.  Weather in the 50's is scheduled, so I'll be missing the snowstorm that is rolling in over the weekend.  Fantastic.  Hopefully I won't see any more of it until I get back in 3 weeks.

Back to the cold and snow!

I had to leave Denver 1 day early in order to avoid a blizzard!

Well, back home now. When I left Rio, people were playing volleyball and soccer on the beach.  When I arrived in Denver, it was 29 degrees with snow on the ground!

Since I wasn't real good about updating the blog while I was gone, I am now going to upload a bunch of pictures!  They won't be in any particular order, but I will update the captions.

Will be heading off to the airport in a little over 2 hours.  That gives me a little over 2 hours to stress out over my packing - which I will do until my bag is checked!

We have a 3 hour flight to Atlanta with a 90 minute layover there, and then a 9.5 hour flight to Rio de Janeiro.  My doctor gave me some Lunesta, so hopefully I will sleep the entire way to Rio.

I will continue with the blog Sunday afternoon.

Came home to a broken computer (see previous post)! 

I will be leaving for New Orleans in just a few hours!  I am meeting up with my friend Pat from upstate New York, my friends Larry, Lee and Jake from Denver and my friend Jenny who lives in New Orleans.  I usually run into other friends from Denver while I am there.

I don't know whether or not I will be updating this blog from New Orleans, but I will definitely provide information about my trip (with pictures) upon my return.

One thing many people have asked me is whether or not I am going to venture out and check out the devastation caused by hurricane Katrina.  While I am sure I will see quite a lot on my ride from the airport to the French Quarter, I do not plan to leave the French Quarter during this trip.  If I were to specifially go out to view the devastation I would feel as if I were being entertained by other people's tragedy - kind of a grisly thought.

Well, I had better get to the airport!
