Sancha and Asher were working at Good Vibes festival on Henderson Island at 10am so they struggled off hung over and wobbly while I made my way home from Asher's. Back there I took my laundry to the laundrette and washed everything at the same time on a hot wash and then spent the afternoon packing everything up again before heading over to Neil's new place. Jim and Zoe picked us up in the car and we drove over to Cottesloe for the 'Sunday Session' at the Cottesloe Hotel where we met Shelby. Bizarrely, of us 5 no one was drinking, so we chatted in the garden and on the balcony until they closed at 10pm. Back at Neil's I met his new flatmate, Renae, and her English boyfriend Richard so we had a drink and then went to bed.

Cottesloe Beach, just 15 minutes west of Perth – the capital city of Western Australia – is a superb place, famous for its white sandy beach and terraced lawns overlooking the Indian Ocean. Arguably the most popular beach in Perth, it should definitely be on the radar of any traveller heading to that part of Australia. Incidentally, John Curtin, a former Prime Minister of Australia throughout much of World War II, lived in Cottesloe at various times throughout his life.
