Oshkosh had two places I wanted to see: a Wright House, and the Experimental Aircraft Association, which has a museum and hosts a large annual airshow. Not only was I not here during the airshow, but I was running a little late and got to the museum at closing time. Ah, well that's the way it goes sometimes.

In Oshkosh for my sister's final recital of her college career, we visited another of the many little parks along the shores of Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh. Again, I don't remember the name of this park, but it had a little lighthouse at it and lots of people fishing.

The next stop in my travels was to visit Oshkosh, WI and the EAA museum there. I have always been a plane buff and this was one stop I wanted to see. The ride down from Crystal falls was uneventful except for some areas of heavy rain. Found the Elks Lodge with no problem and after some help, got parked. Got hooked up with water but found the only electric was 110. Being hot and humid, I had the AC on and sure enough, blew the breakers. That made the balance of the day uncomfortable.

Found the museum with no problems and spent the day exploring it. What a fantastic job they have done in displaying all ages of personal use planes as well as a good display of WW2 planes. The exhibits were very well done and to really do the museum right would take a long day or more. If you enjoy airplanes, don't miss this one!

Summary: Elk Lodge Parking: 51; Escapee Rv parks: 26; Public RV Parks: 42; National Parks: 55; Ships: 17; Forts: 28.

Expenses: 47 months on the road with an average of $1960/month.
