I miss Japan a lot because the last two and half years have been awesome. As the plane started to go down the runway I kept thinking “What am I doing?” and “Could they turn the plane around?” I don’t remember too much of the flight because I slept through most of it. I do remember that all of the movie titles did not match the movies that were showing because the airline was in the process of changing from the March movies to the April movies.

My family went to the Super Wal-mart today and it was HUGE! I was completely lost. Even with the English signs pointing out where things were I could not help feeling overwhelmed by all of the choices. I wandered around in a daze until I pulled out my list of things that I needed and once I had that out I stuck to the list and didn’t look for anything extra.

I leave in under 24 hours. I am finally packed...talk about a pain in the butt. I had no idea what to bring and what to leave behind. I lucked out because my stuffed Stitch fits into my large suitcase. I had no idea what I would do if I had to leave him behind. I am taking two large suitcases and shipping one box to start with. When I come home for Christmas I will bring both suitcases back with me and pick up the rest of the things I will need.

Things I am going to miss:
· All of my Harry Potter Books, they were just too big and heavy to pack
· My stuffed Elephant Ellie, I have had him since I was three but he will join me in Japan after Christmas
· My family...they may drive me crazy but I love them
· My friends and the RA staff
· American Food...love hamburgers and steak.
· Gilmore Girls in English; they have it in Japanese but I don’t speak that well yet.

Things I am looking forward to:
· Tokyo Disney, I want to see how it compares to the US version
· The language...I am a nerd I can’t wait to improve my Japanese
· Meeting my Co-workers...they all sound interesting.
· Experiencing a new Culture...see pervious nerd statement
· Sightseeing...temples and shrines...oh my...

I am sure I will think of more things once I get on the plane. It is a 14-hour flight I know I will have time to think and sleep.

Well this is my last update until I get to Japan and hook up the computer. I will update you all once I get unpacked.
