Driving back to the South along the west coast road was a great experience again. The scenery is great! We stopped at some viewpoints. At one of them we caught sight of the rock formation "Sa Foradadam". In addition to that we hopped out of our car in some small villages like Deia and Banyalbufar. Especially walking through the narrow and empty alleys of Banyalbufar was a unique experience. So different from the crowded streets of Palma. The name "Banyabulfar" has been derived from the Arabic language and does mean "small vineyard at the sea."
There is also a famous watchtower called "Mirador de Ses Animes" which is located between Banyalbufar and Estellencs. It was built in the 16th century and offers a great view of the coast. Once it was part of a defense system to protect the islanders against pirates.
