Well, at this stage I haven't left yet. If you're reading this then you've successfully found my travel blog so congratulations :-). Please visit when you can be bothered as I shall try to update regularly (providing I can use the keyboards in Asia) and let you know how it's going. I'll be leaving for Delhi this Friday (4th April) but have a bit of planning to do before that as I don't what I'm doing for the next 3 months yet ...ah it'll be fine :-S. Anyway I hope everyone's well, please use the comments feature and let me know what you're all up to back here/let me know if you want anything smuggled back into the UK ;-).

Take care,

So here's the start of it.

I have one plane ticket and 6 months to spend all the money I have (which isn't much) and get round as many countries as possible. At the moment I have on the hit list, India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, China, Australia and the USA. Oh, and possibly skiing afterwards should the miracle happen and I have some money left! My housemates have banned me from Bangladesh and Myanmar (Burma) - something about people killing each other. Hmmmm. They are right in the middle of my route across Asia though.

And so the planning starts here, of course interspersed with completing my finals at University, and believe me it's got off to a good start. I'm already having arguments with the IPS (Identity and Passport Services formerly the UKPA - Politics!) about the Embassy in the Costa Rica giving me a dodgy passport which the Yanks won't now accept as a valid entry for no more reason than I can see other than the guys on the immigration desks having to type my name into the computer instead of scanning it!! Seriously, that helps security HOW?!

I have managed to persuade Steve to come on the adventure with me and so for some stupid reason we're throwing ourselves in the deep end and flying into Mumbai (Bombay) for the start of the monsoon season. I do love a challenge!

Time to start planning....
visas first me thinks...
